31st May was celebrated in the name of the cinema lovers and what happened on the day? Single screens as well as multiplexes collaborated to gift the much-awaited viewers with mega surprise, movie ticket at Rs 99!!!

Premier multiplex chains like PVR Inox, Cinepolis India, Miraj Cinema, Multa A2, MovieMax will celebrate this day as the cinema lovers day each year.

Multiplex Association of India Spokesperson verified that tickets at Rs.99 will be available at 4000 screens though premium formats like recliners are excluded but 90-95% of seats will be available.

Situation is grim for cinema owners as content supply is limited leaving exhibitors with little content choice to play on the big screen.

Theatres are shutting down or running fewer shows due to poor quality content and unfinished post production work delaying release.
