How does a day in the life of the 50th Chief Justice of India look? Well, CJI Chandrachud, leads a conscious lifestyle. In a recent interview with ANI, calmness of wee hours to practice sattvic yoga. The sitting judge at the Supreme Court is a stickler for a wholesome Ayurvedic lifestyle with no vices except for his dedication to work.
After observing the stressful condition of 34 SC judges, DY Chandrachud shared his experience of regularly waking up at 3 a.m. for an hour of yoga and the benefits of a vegan regime.
For 25 years, he has religiously fasted on Mondays without water, advocating for sustainable health.
He avoids wholegrains in his regular diet, with sabudana khichri as his staple.
For guests visiting his residence, the kitchen only serves a variety of homemade snacks with a welcoming smile.
For a relaxed evening at home, he relishes ice cream with his children.
When the highest judicial officer of the country is not making landmark judgments, he slips into his favorite book, "Cry, The Beloved Country" by Alan Paton.

CJI took Ayurveda right inside SC premises :

Highlighting the advantages of yoga, CJI inaugurated AYUSH Holistic Wellness Centre in the additional building of Supreme Court.
With the help of this centre, it will become easy for the SC work force to take a break from their hectic schedules and practice wellness.

For Chandrachud, law has been the principle of eternal justice and public service is his objective.
The Chandrachud family was born with the legal genes running to the fourth generation. His father was the 16th and longest-serving chief justice of the country, and both his sons are lawyers too.
Chandrachud was one of the judges who had decriminalised homosexuality in a landmark judgment in 2018. In the same year, he allowed women of all ages to worship at Sabarimala, where age-old tradition had restricted their entry to the temple. This stalwart had ruled in 2017 that the right to privacy was a fundamental right under the Constitution, thus impacting the government and global platforms like Facebook and Instagram to collect personal data.
