Away from Mumbai,Noida in Delhi NCR is Indian Cinema's new stage for Bollywood.Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was all smile to invite the stars in Noida's filmcity. Boney Kapoor led Bayview Projects LLPoutshined T-Series and Akshay Kumar to win the bid for Noida International Film City.

  • Spanning across 1000 acres, the film city will come up in Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority's Sector 21, just about 4kms from the upcoming Noida International Airport.
  • The project is set to have filming facilities, studios, a film institute, an amusement park/family recreation centre, hotels and restaurants, retail shops, a shopping mall, serviced residences and commercial offices besides other filming and supporting assets.
  • The Film City will also have facilities for music production, dubbing, editing, VFX and special effects, film festival and premiere arenas.
  • Development of the first phase will create 10,000 direct and indirect employment.
Make in India in Movies
  • Bayview Projects emerged as the winner after quoting 18% which is the highest revenue share to the state government.
  • Adityanath Yogi was glad to state "The state government will extend full support to it. There should be Indianness in our minds. We don't have to keep ourselves away from it [Indianness]".

Years back while visiting Mumbai to list Lucknow Municipal Bond on Bombay Stock Exchange, he met the likes of Tata Chairman, Akshay Kumar, Boney Kapoor amongst others to discuss the prospect of creating parallel movie making in North India. Now Uttar Pradesh will have an equivalent of Hollywood studios on the outskirts of Delhi NCR outshining the ageing studios of Mumbai.
